Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Director to oversee daily operations of the community’s physical plant and ensure safety compliance. You will lead maintenance staff, manage HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and major appliances, and drive preventative maintenance programs.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years managing property or senior living maintenance, 1–2 years of supervisory experience, and strong communication with residents and vendors. On-call responsibilities are required.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma is required.
• An associate degree or higher is preferred.
• At least 3 years’ experience in property or senior living maintenance.
• 1–2 years of supervisory/management experience preferred.
• Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
• Must be able to work on-call 24/7 for emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day maintenance of the community’s physical plant.
• Manage HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and major appliances.
• Supervise Maintenance Technicians and housekeeping staff.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and codes.
• Plan and manage preventative maintenance programs.
• Obtain competitive bids and manage budgets.
• Respond to resident and community emergencies.
• Maintain inventory and purchase supplies.
