Job summary

Colonial Group seeks a Maintenance Equipment Technician D to support a high-performance manufacturing environment in Corona, CA. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot machinery, and drive reliability improvements across hydraulic, pneumatic, and drive systems.

Strong PLC and AB software skills, plus solid communication and leadership abilities, are essential. The role requires self-direction, excellent time management, and willingness to work weekends/holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 5 years related industrial maintenance experience or an Associate's degree with 3 years of related industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic and drive systems; troubleshooting AC/DC drives, PLCs and industrial controls is required.
• Proficiency in using Allen Bradley PLC software is required.
• Microsoft Office suite experience is preferred.
• Good communication, scheduling and small team leadership abilities are expected.
• Ability to work in a self-directed workforce environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills are essential.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Follows all safety rules and participates in the Safety Program.
• Maintains operation of machinery by performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Identify and locate sources of problems by observing equipment and using measurement tools.
• Remove defective parts using hoists, cranes and hand/power tools.
• Inspect parts for dimensional changes with calipers and micrometers.
• Minimize downtime by informing production of maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.
• Fabricate repair parts using machine tools.
• Conserve resources by efficient use of materials and equipment.
• Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
• Prepare maintenance reports by collecting and summarizing data.
• Keep technical knowledge current by training and reviewing publications.
• Maintain continuity among teams by documenting actions and needs.
• Ensure a safe, clean work environment by following procedures and regulations.
• Contribute to team goals by completing related tasks as needed.
• Demonstrate understanding of vibration analysis, thermal imaging and precision alignment.
