Job summary

Werner Enterprises offers a 11-week summer internship that integrates classroom learning with real-world experience at our Corporate Headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska. The program includes paid training, opportunities for remote or off-site work, and housing support where available.

You will shadow teams, analyze data, and rotate through focus areas to gain broad exposure to our business operations, with a chance to deep-dive into preferred areas.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or other related field.
• Pragmatic, Analytical, Mechanical Engineer type of approach/background.
• Microsoft Excel
• Outlook E-Mail
• Phone Conversations – Between Associates & AI content
• Participation within Zoom meetings & in-person meeting sessions

Responsibilities

• Shadow and collaborate with team members and leadership to understand operational workflows and departmental best practices.
• Analyze analytical data and innovation efforts to help identify potential improvements in business processes.
• Rotate through various focus areas to gain a wide understanding of the business, with the opportunity to deep-dive into one or two specific areas of interest.
• Participate in meetings and discussions to enhance understanding of company-wide objectives and decision-making processes.
• Support the maintenance and management of departmental items, including processes related to the large Werner HQ property and its various offerings.
