Job summary

PGW Auto Glass in Crestline, OH seeks an experienced Maintenance & Engineering Manager to lead the maintenance and engineering functions for our automotive glass fabrication plant. You will plan and organize maintenance activities, oversee downtime planning, and ensure reliable operation of furnaces, cutting lines, silkscreen rooms, PLCs, and robotics.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing capacity.
• Proven leadership and administrative ability.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage long-term projects and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize maintenance objectives using training, coaching, problem solving, lean principles, and preventive maintenance programs to optimize process and line efficiency.
• Direct and manage troubleshooting and repair of production equipment (furnaces, cutting lines, silkscreen rooms), related circuitry, facilities, PLCs, controllers and robotics to maximize uptime.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs and supervise budget and department personnel to service production needs.
• Collaborate with plant management to develop, justify, propose and execute capital projects.
• Support maintenance budget development and control spending to meet requirements.
• Make personnel decisions including hiring, discipline, performance reviews, and training needs; conduct training for safety and quality improvement.
