Job summary

Monarch Casino Resort Spa in Black Hawk, Colorado seeks a General Maintenance Engineer for full-time swing shift. You will inspect electrical, lighting and climate systems, perform casino-wide maintenance, and repair equipment to keep the property in peak condition.

Qualifications

General knowledge of repairs on wood furniture, carpet, drywall, paint, plumbing and electrical.
Must be able to obtain and maintain OSHA safety certifications.
Ability to operate power and hand tools required.
Ability to work from schematics, blue prints, sketches, or verbal directions.

Responsibilities

Check electrical, lighting and temperature control systems to ensure they function properly.
Perform maintenance duties throughout the casino.
Repair machinery throughout the casino.
Keep the property in excellent condition.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Paint the property as needed.
Operate lifts safely to perform duties.
Assist in exterior maintenance of the property.
Report failures in lighting fixtures, electrical systems or temperature control units.
Take on other projects and duties as assigned.
Lift heavy items as required.
Bend, kneel, stoop, stand and walk for the duration of shift.
Work from ladders and tolerate heights.
Move freely across the casino and adapt to noise, temperature, illumination and air quality.
