Monarch Casino Resort Spa in Black Hawk, Colorado is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service electrical, lighting and climate control systems while performing casino-wide upkeep. This full-time role covers graveyard and day shifts, with responsibilities spanning repairs, painting, and safety-focused tasks to maintain a premier guest experience.

The position requires hands-on skills with tools, the ability to read schematics, and physical endurance for lifting and ladder work.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of repairs on wood furniture, carpet, drywall, paint, plumbing, and electrical.
• Able to obtain and maintain OSHA safety certifications.
• Ability to operate power and hand tools.
• Able to read schematics, blueprints, sketches, or verbal directions.
• Physically able to lift heavy items and work from ladders / heights.

Responsibilities

• Check electrical, lighting, and temperature control systems and ensure proper function.
• Perform maintenance duties throughout the casino.
• Fix machinery across the casino.
• Maintain the property in the best condition possible.
• Keep a safe and clean work environment.
• Paint the property.
• Operate lifts to perform duties safely.
• Assist in exterior maintenance of the property.
• Report any failures in electricals, lighting, or temperature control units.

Salary: $27/hr - $33/hr

Status: Full Time

Shift: Graveyard & Day

Responsibilities

• Checks all electrical, lighting, and temperature control systems to ensure they are functioning properly at all times.
• Performs maintenance duties throughout the casino.
• Fixes machinery throughout the casino.
• Ensures the property is kept in the best condition possible.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
• Paints the property.
• Operates lifts safely to perform job duties.
• Helps maintain the exterior of the property.
• Reports any failures in all casino lighting fixtures, electrical systems, or temperature control units.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.

• Must be mobile in all areas of the casino and able to tolerate varying noise levels, temperatures, illumination, and air quality.
