Job summary

Loews Ventana Canyon Resort is seeking a skilled Engineer II to perform hands-on trades across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance. You will respond to maintenance requests, support emergencies, and ensure all systems operate safely and efficiently to deliver a seamless guest experience.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in hospitality maintenance, post-high school training, and certification in related trades.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years hands-on maintenance or skilled trades in hospitality
• Post-high school training in a maintenance/engineering discipline preferred
• Certification or formal training in HVAC, plumbing, electrical or related trades preferred
• Proven ability to read blueprints/technical diagrams and use trade tools

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled trade work in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and general maintenance
• Respond to maintenance requests, guest concerns and emergencies
• Conduct routine inspections and address issues
• Operate tools and materials safely following MSDS guidelines
• Complete maintenance records for all work performed
• Assist with dispatch responsibilities and team workflow
• Communicate status and concerns to supervisors
• Execute emergency response procedures per hotel standards
• Support event setup and minor maintenance
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and equipment
• Follow safety, environmental, and hotel policies
• Promote team safety and hospitality in all interactions
• Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance
• Perform other duties as assigned
