Job summary

WarHorse Gaming Omaha, LLC is seeking a Building Maintenance Engineer I to perform preventive maintenance on the property's building, grounds, and mechanical systems. Responsibilities include completing work orders, inspecting equipment, and ensuring safe operation in a hospitality environment.

The role emphasizes cost-effective repairs, compliance with electrical codes, and accurate documentation. Candidates should have relevant trade experience and a commitment to guest service excellence.

Qualifications

• Must be 19 years of age or older.
• High school diploma, GED, or relevant experience.
• Knowledge and experience working with power tools.
• Two years of experience as Building Maintenance Engineer or construction work; hospitality industry experience preferred.
• Carpenter or Mechanic experience required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions to carry out work assignments.
• Experience with basic electrical systems, product manuals, schematics, troubleshooting and reading mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems up to 480v.
• Ability to learn to read, comprehend, and draw schematics and diagrams.
• Ability to estimate time and material for projects.
• Ability to learn and use electronic test equipment and related tools.
• Commitment to guest service excellence and ethical conduct.
• Working knowledge of company internal controls and Policies and Procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs building and equipment in a hospitality setting.
• Completes work orders in a timely and thorough manner.
• Maintains cost effectiveness in building repairs and equipment.
• Complies with National Electric Code.
• Evaluates equipment condition and recommends repairs or replacements.
• Identifies malfunctioning equipment and corrects issues.
• Keeps safety and cost-effectiveness in mind when operating equipment.
• Conducts routine inspections of buildings and equipment.
• Prepares written repair status and activity logs.
• Requests equipment and supplies to maintain inventory.
• Performs preventive maintenance and assists with installations.
• Keeps downtime to a minimum with guest service in mind.
• Oversees completion and documentation of work orders with details.
