Job summary

Peachtree Group Hospitality Management seeks a Maintenance Engineer to deliver technical and maintenance services across the hotel, keeping equipment and systems in excellent condition. You will perform preventive maintenance, repair and refurbish equipment, service the pool, and ensure safe, high-quality guest experiences.

The role requires hands-on maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and general building systems, with strong attention to safety and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Approach all encounters with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Comply with Peachtree Hospitality Management Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
• Maintain regular attendance standards, as required by scheduling.
• Have knowledge and understanding of all department policies and procedures, and communicate and enforce all policies fairly and consistently with staff.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure machines run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the building stays in good condition.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and complete work orders (e.g., replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, patching vinyl) to maintain the hotel and product quality.
• Assist in checking electrical systems (air conditioning controls, TVs, lighting) and make minor repairs and/or replacements.
• Assist in routine and major repairs of hotel equipment (appliances, kitchen, laundry, boilers, pool, HVAC, plumbing).
• Service the hotel's pool (adjusting chemicals, cleaning filters, maintaining logs).
• Maintain exterior curb appeal (snow removal, lawn care, painting, trash removal, gardening).
• Refurbish furniture and fixtures in guest rooms (cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows, counters) and paint/finish as needed.
• Respond courteously to guest questions, complaints, and requests to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Operate heavy machinery.
• Repair or replace defective parts using hand/power tools and reassemble equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical problems using blueprints, manuals, and catalogs.
• Assemble/install/repair wiring, electrical and plumbing systems, machinery and equipment.
• Perform maintenance work orders promptly to maintain guest satisfaction.
• Communicate with other departments regarding guest room conditions.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas and storage rooms.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
• Attend training/meetings as required by management.
