The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for supporting the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant equipment and utilities. This position provides engineering and technical support for maintenance activities, equipment reliability, troubleshooting, and improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support maintenance and reliability programs for boilers, compressors, cooling towers, pumps, heat exchangers, and other process equipment,
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and develop corrective and preventive maintenance solutions.
- Analyze equipment performance, reliability trends, and recurring failures to identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Provide technical support for rotating and fixed equipment, mechanical systems, and plant utilities.
- Assist with equipment inspections, repairs, modifications, and replacements.
- Manage small maintenance and reliability projects, including scope, cost, scheduling, and contractor coordination.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with plant safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and EHS teams to improve equipment availability and plant reliability.
- Support equipment specifications, installation, commissioning, and startup activities for new or modified systems.
- Participate in root-cause failure analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of maintenance, reliability, or engineering experience in a chemical, petrochemical, manufacturing, or similar industrial plant.
- Experience with boilers, compressors, cooling towers, pumps and other industrial utility and process equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, project management, and communication skills.
