Job summary

Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows in Santa Monica, CA seeks a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to inspect and service plumbing, electrical, HVAC and building systems. You will install fixtures, replace wiring, and handle routine maintenance across spa, kitchen, laundry and related equipment.

We require 3–5 years of maintenance experience and a practical, safety‑conscious approach. This on-site role offers a competitive hourly wage and opportunities to grow within the Accor network.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in facilities maintenance or engineering.
• Experience with plumbing, electrical work and building systems.
• Background in HVAC, spa, kitchen or laundry equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain, and inspect plumbing, electrical and building systems.
• Install electrical fixtures and replace wiring as needed.
• Replace bulbs and perform routine maintenance.
• Demonstrate a maintenance/technical background with hands-on skills.

• Pay Rate Range: $29.16-$36.45 USD Gross per hour

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Repairs, maintains and inspects plumbing, physical structure, electrical wiring and fixtures, machinery, heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, spa, kitchen and laundry equipment, in accordance with blue prints, manuals, and building codes, using hand and power tools, carpenter, electrician, and plumbing tools
• Installs electrical equipment and repairs or replaces wiring and fixtures
• Replaces light bulbs throughout the building
• Maintenance and/or technical background
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience
