As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be part of the Plant Operations supporting the Reliability and Maintenance teams. Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Houston, Texas
Provide mechanical maintenance engineering technical expertise to plant operations and maintenance personnel on troubleshooting mechanical failures.
Oversee equipment repairs, ensure equipment is returned to functional condition, and contribute to equipment strategy development for rotating and fixed equipment.
Work closely with the reliability engineering group and site rotating specialist to drive reliability improvements and support daily operations.
Review mechanical design, including operability, functionality, accessibility, and maintainability, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and contractual requirements.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) during root cause investigations and provide technical support for repairs and troubleshooting.
BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
3 – 7 years of experience in the chemical or plant industry, with maintenance, reliability, and turnaround experience.
Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, boilers, and gas compressors.
Proficiency with SAP or similar CMMS tools, maintenance history analysis, and reliability metrics.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team collaboration skills across diverse audiences.
