A global greenfield petrochemical/fine chemicals processing plant is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to lead their Plant Maintenance team. This highly automated facility features state-of-the-art equipment including turbines, compressors, centrifuges, high-pressure steam networks, DCS process control systems, and advanced electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of Lead Technicians and Maintenance personnel, including planning, scheduling, and execution of routine and breakdown jobs
- Improve workforce productivity through training, technical guidance, and performance feedback
- Plan and schedule maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime and minimize production disruptions
- Develop and implement best practices in maintenance, reliability, and efficiency
- Collaborate with production, technology, and supply chain teams to resolve issues and optimize operations
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Establish KPIs to track equipment reliability and workforce performance
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for equipment failures
- Manage spare parts inventory and optimize stock levels to reduce costs and downtime
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Develop and manage maintenance budgets; forecast expenditures and track costs
- Implement Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives
- Train apprentices and trainees to promote team collaboration and continual improvement
- Oversee engineering and construction programs for facility expansions and debottlenecking
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 15+ years of maintenance experience in petrochemical or chemical plants, with managerial experience preferred
- Hands‑on experience with industrial equipment and complex problem‑solving skills
- Knowledge of maintenance best practices, methodologies, and modern techniques for high reliability and efficiency
- Proficiency in maintenance management software (CMMS)
- Strong leadership, analytical, and decision‑making abilities
- Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to work in a plant environment with occasional exposure to chemicals, machinery, and varying temperatures
- Capable of lifting, walking, and standing for extended periods
- Willingness to be on‑call or work outside regular hours as needed
