The role includes on-call rotation and coordination with the Property Manager and Chief Engineer to ensure high-quality service and safety. The successful candidate will have 2+ years in commercial building operations, a technical background, and strong communication skills to support tenants

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in operation of commercial buildings and equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing building systems; ability to diagnose and resolve issues.
• Proficiency with CMMS and basic computer skills; strong communication with tenants and managers.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on building equipment and systems as scheduled.
• Coordinate with subcontractors for preventive maintenance, repairs and projects.
• Respond to tenant service work orders in a timely and professional manner.
• Work with the Property Manager and Chief Engineer to plan services and coordinate tenant improvements.
• Maintain mechanical rooms and utility spaces in a clean, organized condition.

## Maintenance EngineerApplylocations: Des Moinestime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Yesterdayjob requisition id: R-101899**Job Description:**Ryan Companies is hiring a Maintenance Engineer to execute preventive maintenance, demand and general repairs, and adjustments to building systems, equipment, and fixtures as required. This role serves a downtown Des Moines, IA class B office tower ensuring satisfaction for both tenants and the building owner. Participation in an on-call rotation is a requirement of this position.**What you will do:*** This is a first shift position, with standard hours of Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with occasional after hours and weekend work.* Perform preventive maintenance duties on building equipment and systems as scheduled* Manage and/or assist subcontractors with preventive maintenance, repairs and projects occurring on building systems, equipment, or property* Respond to, evaluate, and complete tenant service work orders in a timely and professional manner* Work with the Property Manager and Chief Engineer to ensure proper services are provided to the building(s), and to assist with project planning and tenant improvement coordination* Maintain mechanical rooms, utility rooms and vacant areas in a neat and clean condition daily.* Monitor energy system equipment, adjust set-points as needed, and record actions and time associated daily* Ensure Fire/Life/Safety equipment is performing as designed* Participate in on-call, after-hours, and weekend work when necessary* Complete all Ryan Companies required training and safety programs* Provide exceptional customer service and exceed expectations* Lead by example in alignment with the Ryan values with staff and co-workers* Possess a proactive and collaborative, solution-oriented approach* Is self-motivated and works well in a team environment.
