Job summary

Smurfit Westrock, Germantown, Wisconsin, seeks a Maintenance Electrician to maintain and repair paper-board manufacturing equipment on 2nd and 3rd shifts.

The role emphasizes safe electrical support, preventative maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and a strong safety culture. Requires 2–3 years' experience in industrial electrical control systems, hydraulics/pneumatics, and the ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years in trouble shooting industrial electrical control systems down to component level.
• Operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery incl. motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3 phase power, comms, industrial/electronic controls, and power transmission.
• Good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Able to install and set up both A/C and D/C drives.
• PLC trouble shooting with mechanical & electrical aptitude.
• Able to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Working knowledge of power transmission equipment and bearings.
• Basic welding skills preferred; not required.

• Provide safe and timely electrical support, preventative maintenance, installation, service, repair, troubleshooting and resolution of machines.
• Maintain machinery using electrical/mechanical skills.
• Contribute to a safety culture that drives results.
• Provide rapid response to ensure seamless productivity.
