Job summary

Smurfit WestRock in North Tonawanda, NY is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to support a fast-paced packaging operation. The role focuses on install, startup, and preventive maintenance of electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

You will diagnose malfunctions, apply electrical and mechanical principles, and maintain maintenance records while working 2nd or 3rd shift; overtime as needed. Strong safety and learning mindset required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Electrical background preferred
• Ability to maintain manufacturing equipment and follow directions
• Commitment to safe work practices and OSHA-related procedures
• Knowledge of electrical components and diagnostic instruments
• PLC programming experience or exposure

Responsibilities

• Support operation of a fast-paced packaging facility with PM tasks
• Install, start up and shut down equipment in line with safety procedures
• Diagnose problems and maintain maintenance records for equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and assist with technical troubleshooting
• Flexibility to work second or third shift and overtime as needed
