Job summary

Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD seeks a Mechanical Maintenance Mechanic I to maintain, install and repair mechanical systems and equipment under general supervision. This full-time role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a MD-approved Electrical Apprenticeship, and at least five years of related experience.

Knowledge of electrical codes and OSHA safety is essential, with a strong commitment to quality and safety.

• Successful completion of an MD approved Electrical Apprenticeship Program.
• 5 years related work experience. The full-time equivalent spent in an approved program may count toward the 5-year work experience requirement.
• Knowledge of electrical techniques, codes, procedures and materials.
• Knowledge of safety rules, procedures and practices, including the proper use of safety equipment as defined by OSHA and industry standards.

Salary Range: Minimum $28.07/hour - Maximum $32.57/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
