Job summary

Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center is seeking a Journeyman HVAC Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems within a hospital environment. The role requires completing a four-year HVAC apprenticeship and holding a Maryland HVAC Journeyman License (with exceptions for extensive equivalent experience).

A Maryland Class C driver's license is also required. This is a full-time, day-shift position located in Baltimore, MD.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a four-year HVAC apprenticeship program is required.
• Maryland HVAC Journeyman License is required; ten years of equivalent training and experience may substitute for Maryland License.
• Maryland Class C driver's license is required.
• Work requires analytical skills to resolve problems using basic scientific, mathematical or technical principles.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a four-year HVAC apprenticeship program.
• Maryland HVAC Journeymen License required. Ten years of equivalent training and experience in commercial or industrial HVAC systems may be substituted for Maryland License. Preference given to candidates with prior experience in hospital settings.
• Maryland Class C driver's license required.
• Work requires the analytical skills to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical, or technical principles.
• Work requires the ability to exchange information on factual matters, schedule appointments, greet visitors, explain Medical Center policies, and/or relay messages to appropriate personnel

Salary Range

Minimum 37.35/hour - Maximum 37.35/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
