Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade electrical and mechanical equipment in a manufacturing setting in Dublin, VA. The role requires independent work from problem identification through implementation, ensuring safe operation and contributing to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include diagnosing complex systems, supporting PLC equipment (RS500, RS5000, Siemens), installing control components, reading schematics, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical Technology or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of electrical technician experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Certified Electrician or Journeyman Electrician preferred.
• Experience in consumer-packaged goods or lean manufacturing environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose root causes of recurring equipment downtime and implement corrective actions.
• Support PLC-controlled equipment including RS500, RS5000, and Siemens.
• Install and integrate new electrical, control, and automation components.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, drawings, and prints.
• Fabricate and install panels and system improvements as required.
• Maintain accurate documentation including as-built drawings, PLC programs, and spare parts.
• Coordinate installations to meet manufacturing requirements and GMP standards.
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Communicate effectively across shifts and departments.
• Follow all company policies and demonstrate safe work practices at all times.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dublin, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
