Job summary

Dolomite Products Co., a CRH Company, is hiring for a skilled electrical technician responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing wiring, equipment, and fixtures from 110V to 34,500V. You will work with automation, IT, and network terminations including fiber, following applicable codes on various electrical projects.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in an electrical industrial setting, NFPA 70E safety certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• NFPA 70E Safety identification card (must maintain)
• Valid state driver’s license
• 2+ years’ experience in an electrical industrial environment
• Background in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment repair could be a plus

Responsibilities

• Learn and follow safety regulations
• Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools or power tools
• Assemble, install, test, or maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, or fixtures
• Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits using ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes to ensure safety and compatibility
• Use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction tools and testing devices
• Plan layout and installation of wiring, equipment, or fixtures based on job specs and local codes
• Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards, defects, or need for repair and ensure code compliance
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems using test equipment and hand tools to locate and fix issues

Working with automation, IT, and network terminations including fiber. Candidate will work in accordance with relevant codes and on a variety of electrical based projects.

Job Responsibilities

• Learn and follow safety regulations
• Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools
• Assemble, install, test, or maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools
• Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system
• Use a variety of tools or equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, ammeters, or test lamps
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem

Job Requirements

• Maintain current electrician's NFPA 70E Safety identification card
• Valid state driver's license
• 2+ years’ experience working in an electrical industrial environment
• Understanding of leadership skills and strong communication skills is a plus
• Background in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment repair

Physical Demands & Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above their shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Physical abilities test will be required. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid outside weather conditions; and extreme cold and/or heat.
