Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Maintenance Electrical Engineer for a facility in Welkom to ensure reliable electrical systems and proactive maintenance. You will develop maintenance strategies, manage spare parts, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

The role requires hands-on experience, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to work independently in a plant environment, with a focus on minimizing downtime and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in industrial electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience with motor controls, PLCs and VSDs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for electrical equipment and systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimize operational disruptions.
• Oversee installation and commissioning of electrical machinery and upgrades.
• Manage electrical maintenance projects including budget, resources, and timelines.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies for electrical work.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inventory.
