Job summary

Placements24 seeks a proactive Reliability Mechanical Engineer to enhance uptime and performance of critical assets in Welkom. You will lead predictive and preventive maintenance programs, perform RCFA, and implement solutions to improve longevity and efficiency.

The ideal candidate holds a mechanical engineering degree and 5-8 years in reliability or asset management, with CMMS experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to interpret technical drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5-8 years in mechanical reliability, maintenance, or asset management.
• Experience with failure analysis and predictive maintenance technologies.
• Proficient with CMMS software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings and equipment specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement PdM programs using vibration analysis and thermography.
• Conduct RCFA on mechanical equipment and implement corrective actions.
• Analyze equipment data to forecast failures and recommend proactive interventions.
• Create and maintain maintenance strategies, optimize schedules and resources.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure proper task execution.
• Stay current with industry best practices in reliability engineering.
