Responsibilities
  1. Communicating effectively with appropriate departments/individuals and gaining a thorough understanding of applicable devices in the facility.
  2. Working safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by always following safety rules and regulations including proper wearing of company PPE.
  3. Assisting ARP Planners with scheduling and prioritizing maintenance activities.
  4. Participating in company Safety Programs and proactively upholding the Safety Culture.
  5. Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment, hand tools, and personal knowledge to determine root cause.
  6. Exercising judgment when troubleshooting AC/DC motor controls, PLC, electrical drives, and all high voltage systems, keeping them all up to the site voltage maximums.
  7. Inspecting and performing daily maintenance on all shop machinery, mobile equipment, HVAC Systems, PLC networks, and cranes.
  8. Maintaining a thorough working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, distribution control, fluidic, and electrical systems/components and how to operate them.
  9. Maintaining specified records of work performed, details of repairs, and material usage.
  10. Performing necessary maintenance tasks including repair or replacement of damaged parts, adjustments, calibration procedures, assembly, installation, testing, and executing preventative maintenance on various manufacturing equipment.
  11. Providing technical assistance to maintenance and production personnel as needed.
  12. Performing daily housekeeping duties including maintaining a clean and safe work area.
  13. Using SAP maintenance module and other computer systems to acquire information, document work, account for time, and record corrective actions.
  14. Working with diagnostic equipment including digital voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and other electronic tools.
Minimum Qualifications
  1. Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (or 2 years + related trade school/training).
  2. C/DC troubleshooting experience.
  3. Ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work at heights for extended periods.
  5. Logical, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  6. Electrical controls maintenance and repair proficiency.
  7. Knowledge of melting, casting, and rolling processes and related equipment (preferred).
  8. Experience with SAP system (preferred).
  9. Demonstrated electrical and mechanical maintenance principles, troubleshooting techniques, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  10. Compliance with FPA 70E electrical safety requirements (preferred).
  11. Experience with Siemens and/or other PLC troubleshooting (preferred).
  12. Understanding of electrical safe work practices.
  13. Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.
