Qualifications

• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Ability to safely use hand tools and meters for diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control-system problems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on production machinery and facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, sensors, relays, and control panels.

Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary:

The Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production machinery, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment. This position performs preventive maintenance and responds promptly to equipment failures to minimize downtime and maintain safe, efficient production operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control-system problems.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production machinery and facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, sensors, relays, switches, and control panels.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
• Test electrical circuits and components using multimeters and other diagnostic instruments.
• Repair or replace motors, bearings, belts, chains, valves, wiring, switches, and other components.
• Assist with installing, modifying, and commissioning new machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and variable-frequency drives when qualified.
• Perform basic welding, fabrication, machining, plumbing, and facility repairs as needed.
• Complete maintenance work orders and accurately document repairs, parts used, and equipment condition.
• Maintain an organized inventory of tools, spare parts, and maintenance supplies.
• Identify recurring equipment problems and recommend reliability or safety improvements.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures and all company, OSHA, and environmental safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Support production employees and provide emergency maintenance assistance when required.
• Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical certificate or associate degree in industrial maintenance, electrical technology, mechatronics, or a related field preferred.

• Two or more years of industrial maintenance or electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, and industrial controls.
• Ability to safely troubleshoot AC and DC electrical circuits.
• Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and automated production equipment is preferred.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, meters, and mechanical measuring instruments.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and cooperate effectively with production and management teams.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or respond to emergency equipment failures when necessary.

Work Schedule:

Full-time day shift position. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required.
