Job summary

TemperPack in Richmond, VA is seeking a Maintenance E&I Technician to keep production equipment running, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot electrical/instrumentation issues in collaboration with the Maintenance Manager and Engineering teams. The role emphasizes safety and logs/documentation to support downtime planning.

Requires a 4-year degree and experience with PLCs, electrical codes, lockout/tagout, and calibration of instrumentation.

Qualifications

HS diploma or GED required; Technical or Vocational School preferred.
Experience with extrusion or lamination machines and industrial process equipment.
Familiar with PLC ladder logic and editing.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair industrial control systems and power distribution, including motors and VSDs.
Perform preventative maintenance and calibrations on electrical, instrumentation, and process equipment.
Maintain instrumentation such as analytical, flow, pressure, and level transmitters.
Keep accurate equipment files, maintenance/inventory logs, manuals, blueprints, and revision archives.
Operate and maintain hand tools, light and heavy equipment.
Read and understand manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair equipment; ensure proper operation and safety.
Install and maintain electrical circuits, repair motors/generators, fix robotics and program controllers.
Carry out equipment isolation, planned/unplanned maintenance, inspections, fault diagnosis, calibration, and testing of electrical equipment, instrumentation, and control systems.
Understand how to program and troubleshoot PLCs and observe LOTO.
