Job summary

Columbia Forest Products in Virginia is seeking a Maintenance Technician to safely perform Preventive Maintenance on all plant equipment and troubleshoot with minimal downtime. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work as part of a team.

You will diagnose electrical motors and controls, order parts, and assist other maintenance staff while applying NEC and local codes to keep the production area safe, neat, and efficient.

Qualifications

• Associates degree plus 2-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
• Prefers background in general maintenance with welding (stick & mig), cutting torch, hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication, and three-phase power.

Responsibilities

• Safely performs Preventive Maintenance on all equipment with the ability to troubleshoot plant equipment with little downtime.
• Troubleshoot/replace electrical motors, troubleshoot/repair controls, and related systems.
• Assist other maintenance technicians and production employees with repairs and troubleshooting.
