Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Director to oversee daily plant operations across our senior living communities. You will supervise maintenance staff, manage HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related trades, and ensure safety standards and budget compliance.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in large-property maintenance, strong leadership, excellent communication, and a commitment to serving seniors with proactive, reliable service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree or higher preferred.
• 3+ years managing apartments or senior living maintenance; supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with HVAC, electrical, drywall, carpentry, plumbing, painting, and general maintenance.
• Must be able to work on-call 24/7 and hold a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day physical plant operations and safety compliance.
• Oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance.
• Manage preventative maintenance programs and staff scheduling.
• Hire, train, and supervise Maintenance Technicians and housekeeping staff.
• Coordinate bids and manage maintenance budget.
• Respond to resident emergencies and ensure curb appeal.
