Harmony Senior Services in Laurel, Maryland seeks a Maintenance Director to oversee all building systems, grounds, and staff. You will maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety programs, and supervise both staff and contractors to ensure efficient operation.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and physical stamina; on-call duties are expected to respond to emergencies and ensure compliance with regulations. A 24/7 on-call availability is essential.

Formación

• Must have a working knowledge of electrical, plumbing and A/C-HVAC equipment.
• Two years previous maintenance experience, preferably in a large physical plant.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and follow written and oral directions.
• Organized and able to work with residents, visitors, staff and management.
• Ability to push, pull, lift and carry heavy material and equipment; tolerate extreme conditions.
• In good physical and mental condition; able to stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders.
• Certified in AC/Freon recovery, etc.; on-call 24 hours for emergencies.
• Uniform required; neat and clean appearance during working hours.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain and repair structures and utility systems of the community.
• Supervise staff and contractors; oversee housekeeping and maintenance assistant.
• Maintain preventative maintenance program for all equipment.
• Investigate breakdowns and log gauges; prevent recurrence in PM program.
• Repair emergency breakdowns promptly and ensure safety practices.
• Manage supplies and purchases within budget; oversee grounds and exterior upkeep.
