Harmony Senior Services in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a Maintenance Director to oversee building systems, grounds, and preventative maintenance across our community. You will supervise staff and contractors, manage safety programs, and ensure efficient operation of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (associates or bachelor’s degree preferred), strong communication, and the ability to work on-call.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required; associates or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing and A/C-HVAC equipment.
• Two years’ maintenance experience, preferably in a large physical plant.
• Ability to push, pull, lift and carry heavy material; tolerate extreme conditions.
• On-call availability and ability to respond to emergencies 24/7.
• Must maintain approved uniform and neat appearance.

Aufgaben

• Maintain and repair physical structures and utility systems of the community.
• Supervise staff and contractors; oversee grounds maintenance and housekeeping.
• Maintain preventative maintenance program and document readings/logs.
• Repair emergency breakdowns quickly and minimize downtime.
• Control expenditures and procure supplies within budget.
