Job summary

MBK Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Director to lead the community's environmental services, including maintenance, housekeeping and laundry. You will drive preventive maintenance for HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems, ensuring safety and compliance while managing a budget and collaborating with leadership.

The role requires strong supervisory skills, hands-on technical knowledge, and the ability to coordinate with vendors, residents and team members to deliver a high-quality living

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Two years of college or trade school preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Facilities Management a plus.
• 5+ years hands-on maintenance or facilities mgmt in healthcare/residential setting, desirable.
• 3+ years supervisory or lead experience in building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor maintenance, housekeeping and laundry teams.
• Develop and implement maintenance plans for HVAC, plumbing and electrical.
• Manage department budget and forecast needs for equipment replacement and upgrades.
• Coordinate with Executive Director to ensure high-quality living experience.
• Oversee safety, OSHA compliance and emergency procedures.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in and manage vendor bids for projects.
