Job summary

Terraces at Kingwood Town Center, operated by Saga Senior Living, seeks a Maintenance Director to oversee maintenance, safety, and facilities operations at a senior living community. The role offers $28-$30/hour for a full-time schedule with day/evening hours and on-call as needed.

You will lead maintenance staff, manage programs and vendors, and ensure compliance with life-safety and regulatory standards to support a thriving resident environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance experience in residential, senior living, hospitality, healthcare, or property management settings.
• 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role, especially overseeing maintenance staff, vendors, and work orders.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and building systems.
• Background in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repairs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all maintenance, repair, and preventative maintenance operations for the skilled nursing community to ensure a safe, well‑maintained environment.
• Direct emergency response efforts and ensure readiness for all life‑safety procedures, including fire drills, disaster preparedness, and compliance protocols.
• Oversee building systems and infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and equipment, ensuring reliability and regulatory compliance.
• Develop, manage, and document maintenance programs, work orders, and preventative maintenance schedules in support of surveys and inspections.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to safety, infection control, and facility operations.
• Provide leadership, training, and oversight to maintenance staff while managing vendors, budgets, and capital improvement projects as needed.
