Job summary

Legend Senior Living® is seeking a Maintenance Director to lead the maintenance and housekeeping team and to ensure the residence and grounds are well maintained, equipment operates properly, and residents enjoy a safe and attractive living environment.

You will manage the department budget, supervise maintenance and housekeeping staff, obtain quotes for third party repairs, schedule preventive maintenance, and coordinate with outside vendors as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a related trade or position, preferably with expertise in electrical, HVAC and repairs and/or maintenance.
• Previous experience supervising maintenance and housekeeping personnel.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining, inspecting and repairing equipment, operating systems, structure and grounds (electrical, carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, roof, etc.).
• Managing the department budget and expenses, including supply inventory.
• Directly supervising all maintenance and housekeeping staff including hiring, training, scheduling, work orders, etc.
