Job summary

Hunt Companies, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Director to oversee 950+ units in Missouri. You will lead maintenance staff, manage budgets, coordinate vendors, and ensure safety, compliance, and high property standards.

The role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge in electrical/HVAC/plumbing, and the ability to drive preventive maintenance programs. Responsibilities include scheduling, training, inspections, make-ready of vacated units, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in building maintenance.
• Bachelor's degree preferred (Business, Engineering, Construction Management).
• Knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop maintenance staff including recruiting, training, coaching, evaluating, and disciplining as needed.
• Manage property budgets and financial performance, maximizing cash flow within approved guidelines.
• Coordinate vendor/contractor communications, scheduling, billing, and insurance certifications.
• Schedule and supervise maintenance personnel; ensure training compliance and safety standards.
• Ensure timely completion of work orders and adherence to property service standards.
• Oversee procurement and approval of purchase orders within budget; maintain equipment records.
• Oversee make-ready of vacated units and property inspections; enforce preventive maintenance programs.
