Job summary

Tower Lodge Care Center in New Jersey seeks an experienced Maintenance Director to oversee the daily operations of the Maintenance Department. The role ensures that all areas are properly maintained, safe, compliant, and functional for residents, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, implementing preventive maintenance, handling HVAC/plumbing/electrical work, conducting inspections, coordinating with vendors, and keeping thorough maintenance records.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in healthcare, long-term care, or similar facility.
• Strong knowledge of building maintenance procedures, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs.
• Working knowledge of applicable safety regulations, fire codes, and federal, state, and local building codes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, and lead the daily activities of the Maintenance Department.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for building systems and equipment.
• Perform and oversee maintenance and repairs, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and other building systems.
• Conduct routine inspections of the building, grounds, and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services.
• Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and equipment logs.
• Manage inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.
