Job summary

The YMCA of the Suncoast is seeking an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Director to lead the maintenance and day-to-day facility operations of our branch. As a member of the branch leadership team, this position ensures facilities, grounds, and equipment are safe, clean, and well-maintained for members and the community.

Responsibilities include overseeing maintenance, pool operations, safety compliance, staff supervision, and coordination with vendors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required with 3–5 years supervisory experience in maintenance.
• Pool certification is required.
• Experience with swimming pool maintenance and with federal, state, and local facility regulations is essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Maintenance Department, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and daily facility upkeep.
• Develop maintenance procedures and schedules; coordinate repairs and improvements.
• Manage budget, monitor expenses, and work with vendors and contracted services.
