Job summary

Glass Peaks Senior Living in Toledo, OH is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee safety programs, manage a maintenance team, and ensure reliable operation of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.

The role requires leadership, problem-solving skills, and experience in HVAC/electrical systems, with a preference for prior senior living exposure and strong communication abilities. On-site role with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience with HVAC systems and/or electrical required.
• Prior senior living experience desired.
• Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the readiness to mentor, motivate, and inspire.

Responsibilities

• Oversees community safety program and maintains a secure resident home and working environment in compliance with policy and regulations.
• Maintains a preventative maintenance program to ensure proper functioning of all community equipment, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Hires, trains, schedules, and leads the maintenance team to provide exceptional services.
• Repair, replace, and install minor equipment, hardware, and controls.
• Maintain water heaters, furnaces, air conditioners, kitchen equipment and associated equipment.
• Maintain community plumbing systems.
• Complete all maintenance requests, scheduled and emergency, quickly and efficiently.
• Inventory chemical supplies and ensure proper storage and usage procedures.
• Implement safety protocols to avert incidents and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Perform exterior maintenance duties as necessary.
• Deliver fire and disaster education and drills with residents and team members.
• Engage with residents in a compassionate and supportive manner reflecting love, compassion, and dignity.

Position Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $68,000.00 - $70,000.00

Responsibilities

• Oversees Community safety program and maintains a secure resident home and working environment in compliance with policy and regulations
• Sustains a preventative maintenance program to maintain proper functioning of all Community equipment, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
• Hires, trains, schedules, and leads the maintenance team in providing exceptional services
• Mechanically repair, replace, and/or install minor equipment, hardware, and controls
• Maintain water heaters, furnaces, air conditioners, kitchen equipment and associated equipment
• Maintain community plumbing systems
• Completes all maintenance requests, both scheduled and emergency, quickly and efficiently
• Conducts inventory on chemical supplies and complies with proper storage and usage procedures
• Implements safety protocols and procedures to avert incidents and ensure compliance with OSHA requirements
• Performs exterior maintenance duties as necessary
• Delivers fire and disaster education and performs preparation and drill activities with residents and team members
• Engages with residents in a compassionate and impactful manner, cultivating a warm and supportive environment where the values of love, compassion, and dignity are reflected in every interaction
