Job summary

Westmont of Santa Cruz, a brand-new Assisted Living and Memory Care community, seeks a skilled Maintenance Director to lead maintenance operations and ensure safety compliance for residents. The role involves managing building systems, coordinating preventive maintenance, and performing hands-on repairs as needed.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of state regulations and OSHA rules, strong organizational skills, and the ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment as required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of state regulations, health laws and OSHA regulations.
• Basic knowledge of State Health and Safety Codes.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs, carry up to 40 lbs, push/pull up to 50 lbs, constant standing, walking and reaching required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance operations within a senior living community.
• Ensure compliance with state health and safety codes and OSHA regulations.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks such as painting, simple plumbing, carpet removal, and equipment repair.

What we need from you:

• Knowledge of state regulations, health laws and OSHA regulations.
• Basic knowledge of State Health and Safety Codes.
• Must have working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire suppression, fire irrigation and emergency call systems.
• Strong organizational skills including ability to follow-up, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task.
• Able to complete basic maintenance services such as painting, simple plumbing, carpet removal, and equipment repair.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs, carry up to 40 lbs, push/pull up to 50 lbs, constant standing, walking and reaching required

• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community
• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
