Job summary

Claiborne Senior Living is seeking an experienced Maintenance Director to oversee facilities operations, safety, and preventative maintenance within our senior living community. You will lead a team to ensure that our building, grounds, and equipment remain safe, functional, and welcoming for residents and staff.

You will manage preventative maintenance programs, ensure compliance with codes, and maintain OSHA standards while delivering reliable on-call support for emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of facilities maintenance experience.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of senior housing or healthcare regulations preferred.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems.
• Experience with OSHA and safety compliance standards.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all maintenance, repair, housekeeping coordination, and safety operations.
• Recruit, train, and supervise maintenance staff.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
• Implement and manage preventative maintenance programs.
• Conduct routine inspections of building systems and grounds.
• Oversee safety drills, emergency preparedness, and vendor coordination.
• Maintain OSHA compliance and proper handling of hazardous materials.
• Prepare and manage maintenance budgets and track expenditures.
• Serve as on-call contact for emergency maintenance needs.
