Job summary

Camellia Place, a Claiborne Senior Living community, seeks a reliable Maintenance Assistant to support upkeep, safety, and appearance for residents.

In this role you’ll assist with routine maintenance, preventive programs, and basic trades like plumbing and electrical. You’ll help keep grounds and equipment in good order, contribute to safety, and support emergency repairs when needed.

Qualifications

• Must have basic understanding of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Strong problem-solving and detail orientation are required.
• Dependable, able to work independently and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine maintenance and repair of building systems.
• Support preventative maintenance programs.
• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks as needed.
• Complete work orders promptly and professionally.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and equipment.
• Follow safety guidelines and OSHA standards.
• Assist with emergency repairs as needed.
• Help maintain organized maintenance records.

What You'll Do

• Assist with routine maintenance and repair of building systems
• Support preventative maintenance programs
• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-3 years of maintenance or facilities experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Dependable and able to work independently
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
• Willingness to be flexible for occasional emergency response needs
