Job summary

Stratford Commons Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is seeking a Maintenance Director to lead the maintenance team. You will supervise daily activities, ensure environmental compliance, and maintain a safe, clean, and well-functioning community for residents.

The role requires experience in LTC/SNF/AL/MC settings and strong communication skills, with an emphasis on safety, regulatory adherence, and efficient building operations. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of one year of maintenance supervisory experience.
• Prior LTC/SNF/AL/MC maintenance experience required.
• Knowledge of commercial laundry, housekeeping, and maintenance procedures.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the maintenance department to ensure environmental center compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations and building codes.
• Maintain the community in a sanitary, attractive, and orderly condition, in good repair and free from hazards in electrical, plumbing, ventilation, heating, and cooling systems.
• Provide quality laundry service as part of the role.

What Will You Do in This Role?

As a Maintenance Director, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the maintenance department to ensure environmental center compliance in accordance with Federal, State and Local ordinance, regulations and building codes. You will also ensure the community is maintained in a sanitary, attractive, and orderly condition; in good repair, free from hazards such as those caused by electrical, plumbing, ventilation, heating and cooling systems. This position is also responsible for the provision of quality laundry service.

Do You Have What It Takes?

• A fire and passion for working with seniors
• A flexible, fun, and energetic personality
• High school diploma, or equivalent, preferred
• Prior experience in maintenance in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting required
• Minimum of one year of prior experience of maintenance supervisory experience required
• Must possess knowledge of commercial laundry, housekeeping, and maintenance procedures
• Professional image in both appearance and behavior
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
