Job summary

Tutera Senior Living & Health Care in Illinois is seeking a Maintenance Director for St. Paul Rehabilitation & Health Care Center to oversee the maintenance team, ensure regulatory compliance, and keep the community safe, clean, and well-maintained.

You will supervise electrical, plumbing, ventilation, heating and cooling systems, coordinate preventive maintenance, and support laundry services while delivering high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of maintenance supervisory experience.
• Experience in LTC/SNF/AL/MC settings preferred.
• Knowledge of laundry, housekeeping, and maintenance procedures.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance department activities to ensure regulatory compliance and safe operation.
• Maintain sanitary, attractive, and safe community environments.
• Manage electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems and repairs; prioritize work orders.
• Oversee quality laundry services and related facilities tasks.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely completion of preventive maintenance.

What Will You Do in This Role?

As a Maintenance Director, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the maintenance department to ensure environmental center compliance in accordance with Federal, State and Local ordinance, regulations and building codes. You will also ensure the community is maintained in a sanitary, attractive, and orderly condition; in good repair, free from hazards such as those caused by electrical, plumbing, ventilation, heating and cooling systems. This position is also responsible for the provision of quality laundry service.

Do You Have What It Takes?

• A fire and passion for working with seniors
• A flexible, fun, and energetic personality
• High school diploma, or equivalent, preferred
• Prior experience in maintenance in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting required
• Minimum of one year of prior experience of maintenance supervisory experience required
• Must possess knowledge of commercial laundry, housekeeping, and maintenance procedures
• Professional image in both appearance and behavior
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
