Job summary

Oceanview Senior Living is seeking a skilled Maintenance Director to oversee maintenance operations for our senior living community in Newport, Oregon. The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and coordination of building systems to ensure a high-quality living environment.

The ideal candidate will manage maintenance staff, schedule preventive tasks, and respond to urgent repairs while maintaining a compassionate approach to resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of state regulations, health laws and OSHA regulations.
• Strong organizational skills including ability to follow-up, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task.
• Able to complete basic maintenance services such as painting, simple plumbing, carpet removal, and equipment repair.

Responsibilities

• Maintain electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire suppression, and emergency call systems.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and safety codes.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks as needed and support facility operations.

What we need from you:

• Knowledge of state regulations, health laws and OSHA regulations.
• Basic knowledge of State Health and Safety Codes.
• Must have working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire suppression, fire irrigation and emergency call systems.
• Strong organizational skills including ability to follow-up, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task.
• Able to complete basic maintenance services such as painting, simple plumbing, carpet removal, and equipment repair.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs, carry up to 40 lbs, push/pull up to 50 lbs, constant standing, walking and reaching required

• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community
• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
