Job summary

Southern Meadows, a Sonida Senior Living community in Mountain Home, AR, seeks a Maintenance Director to manage grounds, building interiors and equipment, and ensure safety and compliance across all facilities.

The role requires hands-on maintenance experience, knowledge of electrical/plumbing/HVAC systems, and the ability to coordinate repairs with staff while maintaining regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance and minor repairs of structural, electrical, plumbing, security, and HVAC systems.
• Experience in building safety and hazard reduction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains grounds and building exterior, including lawn care and garbage removal.
• Maintains interior spaces, offices, and common areas.
• Oversees repair of community equipment and trains staff in proper use.
• Prepares apartments for move-in and refurbishing after move-out.

Maintenance Director Responsibilities include:

• Maintains grounds, including outside building repair, lawn maintenance and garbage removal.
• Maintains inside of building, offices, and common areas.
• Maintains and/or oversees repair of Community equipment; ensures that equipment is functioning properly, and staff are trained appropriately in its use.
• Prepares apartments for move-in and refurbishing of units after move-out.
• Maintains fire safety and emergency records, maintenance of systems and inspections required by state.

Qualifications:

• Experience in maintenance preferred; familiarity with techniques of minor repair and maintenance for structural, electrical, plumbing, security and heating and cooling systems required.
• Experience in building safety and hazard reduction preferred.
