Job summary

Southern Meadows, a Sonida Senior Living community, is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support our aging residents and keep facilities safe and inviting.

The role will be PRN/Part-time, with responsibilities including routine Maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and building repairs. You will respond to resident requests through the work order system and help maintain storage areas and common spaces.

Qualifications

• Experience in janitorial/maintenance work preferred, with basic repair knowledge.
• Familiarity with structural, electrical, plumbing, security, and HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance tasks and respond to resident work orders for repairs.
• Inspect public areas and ensure lighting is operable.
• Maintain building HVAC, plumbing, electrical and kitchen equipment.
• Keep storage and equipment areas organized.
• Carry out painting projects for common and office areas.

Maintenance Assistant Responsibilities include:

• Performs general maintenance on a daily basis responding to resident request through the established work order program repairing plumbing, electrical and appliance issues.
• Performs daily light bulb walk around/inspection ensuring that all public area light bulbs are operable and working.
• Performs general maintenance on a daily basis for the building to include HVAC, plumbing, electrical and kitchen equipment issues.
• Maintains organization of all storage and equipment areas.
• Performs daily and as assigned painting projects for all common and office area

Qualifications:

• Experience in janitorial/maintenance work preferred; familiarity with techniques of minor repair and maintenance for structural, electrical, plumbing, security and heating and cooling systems required.
• Experience in building safety and hazard reduction helpful
