Job summary

Claiborne Senior Living is seeking an experienced Maintenance Director to oversee facilities operations, safety, and preventative maintenance within our Marietta-based senior living community.

In this leadership role you will manage building systems, lead a maintenance team, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive preventive maintenance programs to protect resident comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of facilities maintenance experience.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of senior housing or healthcare regulations preferred.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems.
• Experience with OSHA and safety compliance standards.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all maintenance, repair, housekeeping coordination, and safety operations
• Recruit, train, and supervise maintenance staff
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes and regulations
• Implement and manage preventative maintenance programs
• Conduct routine inspections of building systems and grounds
• Oversee safety drills, emergency preparedness, and vendor coordination
• Maintain OSHA compliance and proper handling of hazardous materials
• Prepare and manage maintenance budgets and track expenditures
• Serve as on-call contact for emergency maintenance needs
