Maintain compliance with NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, state regulations, and CMS requirements.
Keep the building survey‑ready at all times and take an active role during state and Life Safety Code surveys, including corrective action follow‑up.

Coordinate fire drills and support the facility's emergency preparedness plan.
Identify when outside help is needed and coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs, making sure work is completed correctly.
Respond to work orders and emergency repairs promptly and courteously, including on-call coverage as needed.
Supervise and train maintenance staff, if applicable, and manage the department budget and supply inventory.
Work closely with the Administrator and department heads to support resident safety and satisfaction.
Solid building maintenance experience and a willingness to learn.
Experience in a nursing home, hospital, assisted living, or other healthcare setting is a plus.
Working knowledge of Life Safety Code requirements and survey readiness strongly preferred.
General maintenance skills, such as minor repairs, changing filters and light fixtures, patching and painting, and keeping equipment running.
