Job summary

Bethany Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Illinois is seeking a Maintenance Director to lead the maintenance team and ensure environmental center compliance with applicable laws. You will oversee electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and safety standards while preserving a clean, safe, and attractive community.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of supervisory maintenance experience, knowledge of laundry operations, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of supervisory maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of commercial laundry, housekeeping, and maintenance procedures.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience in LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate maintenance department activities.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations and codes.
• Maintain sanitary, attractive, and safe community environments; address electrical, plumbing, ventilation, heating and cooling needs.

What Will You Do in This Role?

As a Maintenance Director, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the maintenance department to ensure environmental center compliance in accordance with Federal, State and Local ordinance, regulations and building codes. You will also ensure the community is maintained in a sanitary, attractive, and orderly condition; in good repair, free from hazards such as those caused by electrical, plumbing, ventilation, heating and cooling systems. This position is also responsible for the provision of quality laundry service.

Do You Have What It Takes?

• A fire and passion for working with seniors
• A flexible, fun, and energetic personality
• High school diploma, or equivalent, preferred
• Prior experience in maintenance in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting required
• Minimum of one year of prior experience of maintenance supervisory experience required
• Must possess knowledge of commercial laundry, housekeeping, and maintenance procedures
• Professional image in both appearance and behavior
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
