Ivy Tech Community College in Sellersburg is seeking a facilities worker to perform housekeeping duties across classrooms, offices, and common areas. Responsibilities include cleaning, floor care, restroom upkeep, and event support on a on-site basis.
The position emphasizes punctuality, dependability, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a busy campus environment, with a comprehensive benefits package and competitive hourly pay.
Provides light maintenance and custodian services for the Sellersburg campus. Duties include, but are not limited to, floor care, cleaning restrooms, classrooms and offices, and snow removal. Provides general service in response to work orders requests. Reports to the Director of Facilities.
Salary Range: $20 per hour
1. Performs housekeeping duties including cleaning, trash removal, etc., throughout assigned areas.
2. Cleans, waxes, and maintains floors throughout assigned areas.
3. Maintains cleanliness of restrooms.
4. Maintains cleanliness of parking lots, sidewalks, and grounds using available equipment.
5. Performs snow removal when required.
6. Provides general service in response to select work requests.
7. Performs other duties as assigned consistent with commonly accepted practices.
8. Assists in event set-up and tear-down when necessary.
