Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana in Indianapolis – Downtown is seeking a Maintenance Custodial Engineer. You will maintain cleanliness of restrooms, hallways, classrooms, and other areas, ensuring high visual standards and safety.
The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid Indiana driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM shifts. This is a full-time position with competitive pay depending on experience.

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining the College's visual standards by ensuring that restrooms, hallways, classrooms, and other areas are consistently clean and wellmaintained. Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements Lifting and Carrying: Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Heavier lifting or movement tasks should be done with assistance.
Stair and Ladder Use: Move safely up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders as part of the work.
Travel Requirements: Must be able to travel to various campus buildings using College vehicles. Must hold or be able to obtain an Indiana driver's license.
Physical Stamina: Must be detail-oriented, thorough, and flexible to adapt to changing tasks and environments. Physical effort is required, including heavy lifting, bending, twisting, and working in various environmental conditions (hot and cold).
Minimum Qualifications: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including working on ladders, lifting over 50lbs repetitively, twisting, bending, and working in varying environmental conditions. Competence in following both oral and written instructions.
