Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College is seeking a part-time custodian to perform light cleaning of restrooms, classrooms, and public areas. The schedule is 28 hours per week from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm, with a pay rate of $15.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include stocking supplies, cleaning fixtures, sweeping and mopping, trash removal, and maintaining student common areas. Minimum qualifications are a high school diploma and being punctual, dependable, and trustworthy. Benefits are provided.

Responsibilities

• Stock all paper supplies and hand cleaning product dispensers in restrooms.
• Scrub and sanitize toilets and sinks including basins, behind toilets and adjacent areas.
• Clean and sanitize fixtures, partitions, walls; sweep and mop restrooms daily.
• Clean mirrors and maintain floor cleanliness in restrooms and common areas.
• Vacuum carpeted areas and tidy classrooms, trash disposal and surface cleaning.
• Empty trash in student common areas and maintain tables, chairs and booths.
• Sweep entryways and outdoor lounge areas; maintain trash receptacles.
• Keep interior and exterior areas free of trash and spills; assist with setup of community rooms.

Job description

This position pays $15.00 per hour

Light cleaning of all College restrooms, classrooms and public areas. Twenty-Eight (28) hours per week between the hours between 7:00 am and 1:00 pm.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Stocks all paper supplies and hand cleaning product dispensers in restrooms.
• All toilets and sinks scrubbed, sanitized including base and behind toilets.
• Clean and sanitizes all fixtures, partitions and wall areas, sweep and mop in restrooms daily.
• Mirrors cleaned
• Vacuum carpeted areas
• Classrooms – trash emptied, table tops wiped off, floors swept / mopped
• Sweeps and maintains entryways and outdoor lounge areas.
• Maintains all internal and external trash receptacles.
• Maintains the student commons free of all trash and spills also clean tabletops, chairs and booths.
• Cleans door window glass and frequently touched vertical surfaces daily.
• Maintains community rooms and/or meeting setup.
• All other duties as assigned.
